Every year the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 380 Warkworth donates the money that they make from their Poppy Fund to a local charity. Since the mid 1990’s, numerous local charities have benefited from the Legion’s generosity. This year, The Bridge Hospice is the grateful recipient of this money.
Peter Horne, Chairman of the Poppy Fund, said that they were inspired to donate the Poppy Fund to this very worthwhile community cause and they look forward to the opening of The Bridge Hospice in the spring of 2012.
